Our Middle School was fully back in person with foundational classes that taught them both about the basics of P&D, as well as the perspective of actors and directors. Being back on campus allowed for increased collaboration and hands-on learning experiences.

The students learned about theatrical designers and the steps they go through to achieve their creations. Using many sources of inspiration, students researched, sketched, and ultimately created designs in all areas. As a result, we have a variety of projects to showcase from this year in almost every area of theatrical design.

8th grade students even got the chance to help out on our yearly 8th grade collaboration with Musical Theater. They worked with costumes, hair, makeup, and props, as well as going through their first tech week in Symphony Hall.
